Rubbish
On Tuesday we went for a walk around our school environment. One negative thing we saw was lots of rubbish. Some of the negative things we saw were sandwich crusts and orange peels. Things we throw away are rubbish or something we don’t need anymore. I feel a little bit angry because we want our school to be clean and we have lots of rubbish bins in our school. I hope people won’t throw rubbish on the ground again.

My Poem
Deep water, he can’t stand in.
Yellow is one of his favourite colours.
Lollipops are his favourite treat.
Apples are good for him.
Nice things make him happy.

A Good Friend Is
In room 16 we have been learning about what a good friend is. A good friend is someone who is Trustworthy. That means if you let your friend borrow something you can trust them to give it back. A good friend makes us happy. That means if you are sad the other person might come and say “Would you like to play with me ?” That will make the other person happy. A good friend is someone who is kind. That means you say things like “Mum can I help wash the dishes?” That is being kind. You could also ask your Mum again, “Can I help you put out the washing on the washing line?” That is also kind. A good friend is someone who shares. That means if you have a friend over and she wants to play with your toys you can share with her so she can have a turn too. A good friend is someone who makes us laugh when we’re sad. This means if your friend is sad you can come along and make your friend laugh, that will make them happy. A good friend is someone who is honest. This means if your friend starts a fight and she gets in trouble you tell the truth and you don’t lie. A good friend is someone who is respectful. This means that you don’t call your friends names that they don’t like.

When they say something bad to you and then they say, “I’m sorry.” A good friend is someone who gives you something to look after and they count on you not to lose it. They cheer for you when you are playing sport. A good friend is nice to you. If they had some stars they would give you one. They keep you safe if you’re going down the road. They are respectful of your feelings.
